Chapter 1 - Outbreak

She was getting a bit annoyed at him now. She knew full and well he was just trying to respect her but it made her feel worse that he was avoiding her gaze....but it's not like she wanted to be oggled at either. "Please, if you don't mind. Ask Siren for the passcode. And you diddn't know I was in here, I was in the men's room after all, no need to apologize. Just grab my black tank, some cargo pants, my canvas vest and..."

goddammit...

She sighed.

"I need undies too.....On second thought, just go get Siren...."

"Good idea." he finally looked up at her. At least she wasn't angry. "Sorry again." he turned away and quickly made his way out of the uncomfortable situation.

"Siren?" he called out, peeking his head around into the bridge. His face still a little flush.

"Nevermind" he commented, and turned back down the hallway. He cleared his throat and calmed down a bit before instructing Claire. "the hallway is clear, why dont you go ahead to your room" he stood with his back towards the door. "I will make sure no one comes down until we are sure your door works. Then i want you to go fix any program locks, yeah?"

"Yea," she said, and went to her room.

"Goddammit!" yelled Emmerich, very unlike him. He had no problems with Key, but that Lock was getting out of control. "When we get to Starnz, you need to see a physician about Lock. And if he gets out while we're on the ship again, I will have to take the necessary precautions."

With that, Emmerich marched out of the kitchen, leaving Key to think about what he said. "Sorry Key." he whispered to himself. "But I can't have you hurting anyone else." Then he disappeared to his quarters.

Smirked and nodded, setting all systems into go status as he took hold of the engine lever. The ever so slight motions of the ship away from the station, and through to the exact pin-point destination point, soon brought the engines to light up and begin to surge with a signature hum, Nostromo would answer the captain when he had picked up on his self directed statement, "It seems we have been to hell many times before.. And yet we have always come out on top." he noted, making a statement very typical for him, "Not that we are invincible, but we are brave and courageous! ..And crazy!"

He laughed a bit as the last calculations of Siren locked in, "..Okay, maybe just me!" he admitted, pushing the thrust forwards and delivering the ship into full warp acceleration, and singing the chorus of a little rock song most notably known as "Highway To Hell".

The ship soon broke through the mold of starlight and passed them by in an every increasing light show, the systems all began to match the speed and output all integrity to the ship as was determined by other crew members of the ship, each doing their needed duty to see the ship continuing to perform at maximum efficiency, Nostromo himself doing the important task of fully preparing the ship for full alert status from his end.

Nostromo patched into the ship channel and allowed all others to hear the intel, "This is the bridge speaking, all members of the crew are hereby called to assume their respective positions in 0400 hours, preparations for the Fever to full alert status readiness must be completed by that time. The ETA for Sector Q3-Alpha will be at that time as well."

Raiz had spent enough time gathering his thoughts and calming his mind, he wanted to do something but didn't want to go back down to the bridge. He also didn't have to go back to the engine room, everything was running fine, he had made sure with the diagnostics he ran. He got up from the bench he was sitting on and walked down the stairs, he had something he had to do that he hadn't done in a while, something no one new he did. Raiz walked down halls and stairs until he ended up in front of the simulator room, he walked in, "Private room, run...Hakkyoken program" he said as he turned into his human form, "Lets do this." he said as the doors closed with a hiss.


"Ara?" he said and walked out heading to the engine room, "Who was he again..." he said as he turned the corner.
