Give each ability a number of stars from 1 (lowest ability rating) to 5 (highest rating) to reflect the kinds of skills they bring to the table. There's no limit to the number of stars, however it's much preferred you make your character strong in some stats and weak in others. It's no fun if a character has so many strong abilities they're virtually unkillable.


Base Stats
Strength: The physical strength of a character, affects what they can lift, how strong physical attacks are, and how much strain they can endure.
Vitality: Affects the characters overall ability to withstand attacks (Health and defense), and affects how long a character can sprint
Intelligence: Affects a characters ability to analyze a situation and interpret data accurately.
Agility: Affects a character's dodging ability and accuracy/reloading with guns
Charisma: Shows how personable a character is, and affects how others perceive them.

Fighting
Unarmed: The ability to fight with ones body. Affects how strong attacks are when your character has no active weapon. Higher levels provide more attack power, and the ability to paralyze limbs.
Melee: The ability to fight with melee weapons. This includes hand held objects like swords, daggers, hammers, and pipes; objects one may throw such as bricks, or bottles, and environmental objects one picks up. Higher levels indicate higher proficiency with those objects.
Small Guns/Projectiles: Indicates your characters proficiency with small guns like pistols, sub machine guns, shot guns, and in some cases bows. Higher levels recieve more and power and faster reloading.
Large Guns: Similar to the previous skill, except it affects weapons like large machine guns, flame throwers, rocket launchers, and plasma gun.
Explosives: Determines ability to set and deactive bombs. At higher levels more complex bombs can be set (Such as proximity mines). Also affects ability to use grenades, Molotovs, and other thrown explosive types.

Stealth
Lockpick: Higher levels in this skill allow the character to pick more complicated locks.
Sneak: A character's ability to move unnoticed. At the highest level a character is nearly undetectable when sneaking around. Also affects how much damage a character can inflict when they perform an attack in sneak mode.
Acrobatics: Directly affects a character's ability to dodge attacks and retaliate. Also affects the kinds of maneuvers they may be able to accomplish when fleeing, fighting or problem solving. (Synergizes with unarmed combat)
Marksman: Affects a character's accuracy when using both small and large guns, and the distance they can effectively fight with guns. At it's highest level, a character would be considered an accomplished sniper. (Synergizes with small/large guns)

Knowledge
Medicine: Affects a character's ability to heal themselves and others with medical supplies. At higher levels, more grievous wounds can be healed more efficiently.
Computers: Allows the user to hack into computers to check logs or operate mechanizes. Higher levels allow more advanced system hacking.
Extrasensory: A character's ability to sense the paranormal, and resist the effects of mind controlling monsters. At the highest level a character can completely block out their mind from intruders.
Speech: At higher levels, a character will be able to more accurate bargain with enemies, convince (or threaten depending on character style) NPCs to give them information, and comfort/raise affinity with other characters.
Repair: Allows a character to repair broken computers, weapons, armor, devices, and at it's highest level pretty much anything, including airships.
