Legacy Of Light

It is a time of uneasy peace in the Galaxy.
For almost a century had the lizard like races of the “Lanx”, the bird like races of the “Fiðra”, and the feline and canine like races of the “γάτα” and “Hundur” been at war for the control of the central regions of the galaxy. At its heart having once been the shinning planets of the Alcedonian System, the birthplace of an iconic yet reluctantly passive human like race, the “Aldenian’s”.

War would still have threatened to consume the stars around the system, had it not already been for the sudden cataclysm of the “Alcedim” star cluster, at the very heart of the galaxy. During what seemed to have been the most violent of engagements in the galactic war, the Lanx and Fiora flagships brandished their tachyon cannons and fired upon one another.

Unbeknown to all however was the fact that the systems largest and most obscured red M0-71 giants where in their final stages of existence, pushed beyond the brink by the collateral effects of the tachyon exchange, and thus forced into a super nova cascade.

The effects of the systems destruction drove the surrounding planets beyond the white phase cloud and the unknown fate of the system within it, thus starting an era of uneasy alliances and easy betrayal between countless different life forms and cultures.

It was a time when a new class of warriors began to emerge. As empires and societies fell, so rose the likes of mercenaries and bounty hunters. Their destiny would either have the most profound effect on interplanetary justice, a path on the light side of good, or ruthless and unyielding greed and desire for power, a path on the dark side of evil.

And who knows?
With the slow reclaim of the giant military powers on the horizon,
will war break out once more, or shall there be hope that prevails the hand of future heroes to usher in lasting peace?
